Market Street Stamps Guest Designer

Hello Everyone!  I am so excited to share with you my two projects that I made for my Guest Designer spot at Market Street Stamps!!  THIS card won me a spot as a Guest Designer!  Also, there is a new free digi, and an opportunity to be a Guest Designer, at the Market Street Block Party!  You can see my feature on their blog here:  Market Street Stamps Blog.

Ok, on to my cards.  The first one uses the super adorable set called Birds of a Feather.  I used a real peacock feather on my card.  Who knew that a feather was going to be SOOOOO hard to photograph??  In person, the colors are much softer and have such an amazing shimmer.   I got this feather from my son, who has started a little chicken coop and also has two peacocks...  just for the "fun" of it.  haha.  They are LOUD!!!

This card will be given as a wedding card to a couple getting married this summer.
She used a peacock feather stamp on her Save-The-Dates, so I think it may be her theme!

I colored the peacock with watercolor crayons, and then used a paint brush to apply gold Smooch spray.  The little hearts have dimensional glaze on them.

My next card uses the sweet set called Cool Cats.  The cats are actually two separate images.  I just love how they cuddle up to each other so nicely!!!

I used my new My Mind's Eye paper called Dilly Dally to paper piece the cats.
Lots of little fussy cutting here!!

I really enjoyed working with my Market Street Stamps!  Be sure to check them out!

Cool Cat

Hello!

The Stamping Techs at Technique Tuesday were inspired by this photo provided by our DT leader Teri:

I am a knitter, so of course I had to go with the knitting theme.  I used Knit Wits, Cat's Meow, and Tree-mendous stamp sets from Technique Tuesday to make this card:

I used a border from the Knit Wit set to make the knitted pattern on the bottom of the card.  And I decided to have the kitty wear one of the hats.  The hat image actually had ear flaps, but I cut them off cause it looked kinda goofy.  Actually, I still think it looks kinda goofy...   a cat wearing a hat.  Haha.

Then, while I was making my card...  I had another idea, so I decided to get it out of my head:

I used the same border stamp from Knit Wits using the ink colors of Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Real Red.  The stamp is super easy to line up!  The cat is from Cat's Meow, and the mouse and sentiment are from   Little Peanut.

Hambo Dragon

The last few weeks, I have been playing along in the Hambo Hoedown Challenges.  Everyone who participates gets a FREE digi image sent to you the following week.  How awesome is that?!  This fun DRAGON image, along with several different sentiments, was last weeks freebie.

My card:

For this challenge, we were to use either GOLD or SILVER on our card.  I used a gold textured cardstock for my balloon and also to mat the sentiment strip.  I used glossy cardstock for my background.  After running it through the embossing folder, I sponged red, orange, and yellow ink. The dragon is colored with Copic markers.

Thanks for visiting!  :)

Dreamy Daisy

Hello!

I combined THREE challenges from Splitcoast today!  The sketch, color, and technique challenge worked great for this new release set from Technique Tuesday called Dreamy Daisy.

I used the wrinkle free distress technique for the daisy part of this card. I had so much doing that technique earlier this week, that I just had to play around more with it. I used the ink colors Bashful Blue and Night of Navy (SU). The bashful blue was very light after misting with water... and the navy took more of a purply shade. But I went with it anyway...

Thanks for stopping by today!

TLC363 Birthday Wishes

Hello!

Wow, was I surprised to get my new Technique Tuesday stamps in the mail today!  They will be available soon on their website.  (The Stamping Techs got theirs a bit early!).

I had to ink them up right away...  so I played in the Technique Challenge on Splitcoast.  The Wrinkle Free Distress technique was fun.  Basically, you apply ink to your craft mat, spray water, then smoosh your cardstock into it!

I used the Distress Ink colors Peeled Paint, Broken China, and Wild Honey.  I colored the pearls with a Copic marker.

Hambo Valentine

Hello!

Here is the card that I made for the Hambo Hoedown Challenge this week!  I used the free CANDY HEART digi that was offered for participating in last weeks challenge.  How cool is it that they give you a free digi every week just for playing along??!!

I also used the fun HAPPY COW image.  I cut the balloon off, and placed the candy heart box in his hand.  I printed the heart smaller to make it more proportioned...  but I think the cow should have been a bit bigger.  Oh well...  It is a BIG box of candy.  :)

The Alley Way Stamps Challenge #1

Hello!

Have you heard of the new stamp company called The Alley Way Stamps??  They have some SUPER cute stamps, and their first BE Inspired Challenge is going on right now!

The Inspiration Photo:
Here is my card:

I do not have any TAWS stamps (yet!), so I chose this sweet ladybug offered in the free digi section on the site.   I was inspired by the turquoise colored background, the light colored woodgrain, and the bright colors.

I colored the ladybugs with Copics, and added stickles to the spots.  I made the fence using a "cake mold" that I found in the cake decorating aisle at M's.  I inked up the mold with kraft colored ink, then ran the cardstock/mold through my Vagabond, just like you do when using a texture plate.  I love how the woodgrain turns out!

Sentiment was cut using the Beyond Birthdays Cricut cartridge.  I colored it in the mustard yellow color to match the pillow in the inspiration photo.  The background paper is OLD (guessing maybe 8 years?? haha) from Junkitz.  Not sure if they are even still around, but I haven't heard of them in a long time!

Thanks for looking, and hope you play along in the TAWS challenge too!!

Bone Appetit!

Hello!

I guess there was some football game on today??  haha  Well, Lydia over on Splitcoast challenged us to make a furry critter card instead of watching football....  OK, sounds good to me!  Details are HERE.

I also made this card for the Hambo Stamps Birthday Challenge.   I used their cute Bailey Cupcake digi stamp.  Love him!

I used some old paper from the DCWV Pet Stack.  Cute stuff!  The circle was cut using Basic Grey paper.  Images colored with Copics.  I'm still practicing with those!

Thanks for stopping by today!
