Technique Tuesday Printables Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

I’m a Stamping Tech for Technique Tuesday, and I’m excited to be taking part a blog hop today with my fellow stamping pals!

Today, all of us are playing with the new Printables Technique Tuesday recently debuted at the scrapbook conventions they go to. These three printed sheets (Candy Cane Wishes, Harvest Time and Hocus Pocus) consist of designs you can cut up and use to decorate cards, scrapbook pages and other fun paper crafted projects. They will be available through TechniqueTuesday.com soon.

I chose to make a set of cards using Harvest Time:
I used punches to cut the circle images from the sheet, and then matted them on a larger circle, then again on the scallop circle.  It's hard to see, but the scallop circles and scallop borders are also corrugated.  The little border image piece is a bit smaller than 4 1/4", so I cut it behind the scallop circle and extended it.  Make sense??  :)  The text on the bottom is stamped with Technique Tuesday's Verbose set, which also happens to be the blog hop prize!

Here are individual pictures of each card, and also a pic of the different printables available:

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s blog hop!

New Socks!!

I thought I would share a couple pictures of my recent knitting projects.  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous the past few weeks, and I've spent a lot of time knitting outside on the deck.  Knitted socks feel like a dream on your feet!!  Sooooo comfy!!

These first ones are called Herringbone Rib Socks.  I LOOOVE how this pattern turned out and will definately use it again.

This second pair is a pattern called Monkey Socks.  It is one of the most popular socks patterns in the knitting community, and I FINALLY got around to trying it.  Also, it is my first time using Koigu sock yarn.  Super fun, quick pattern, and the yarn is so nice!!  Next time using this pattern, I will definately do the no-purl version for a more smooth sock.

Both pairs are for ME!!  :)

I will be finishing up another pair of socks in the next few days, along with a new hat for my son's birthday next week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dream Big

Dream Big is a great stamp set from Technique Tuesday!  I have two cards using that set to share with you today.

For my first card, I used the brocade image and the houndstooth image to make the two different backgrounds.  No patterned paper used...  just stamps and cardstock!  The seam binding is also something Technique Tuesday was selling in their booths at the conventions.  I pulled a thread from the center to gather the seam binding, then attached it with a strip of sticky tape.

For my second card, I used Dream Big for the brocade background, and also for the small text background.  The "Thank You" sentiment is from Dream Big, and the fancy frame is stamped using Swanky Sentiments.  I used Long Stemmed Sentiments for the flowers.  (one of my "go to" sets from Technique Tuesday!).

I also made a super quick gift bag using both Dream Big and Swanky Sentiments.  Fast and Easy!

Here is the Dream Big set!

Thanks for taking a look today!!  :)
