SC3999 Sketch Challenge

Hi!!  I made two cards using this week's sketch SC399 over on Splitcoast Stampers.  I like this simple sketch!

Here are my two cards:
I used a new release from Technique Tuesday called THINK BEEF.  How fun is that??  Haha!!  Imgae was stamped using Versafine ink, and colored with Watercolor Crayons from Technique Tuesday.

And this card uses an adorable image (aren't they all??) from Hambo Stamps called TURTLE PRESENT.   The sentiment is called GOOD STUFF.  Image was stamped using Momento ink and colored with Copic markers.

Both were quick and easy CAS cards.  My favorite kind!

Thanks for taking a peek today!

Using Technique Tiles

Hello!  This is a post that I did for the Technique Tuesday Blog that ran last week.  I just thought I'd share it here too!

I have a technique to share using the Technique Tiles from Technique Tuesday!

I went back to basics, and did some simple stamping of a line image stamp, then coloring it with Technique Tuesday's Watercolor Crayons.  I used the fun Monsters Ink set from Technique Tuesday.

Blend crayon with paintbrush and water:

I applied dimension glaze to the monster image to really make it stand out:

Added a few smaller tiles to finish off the card:

The Stamping Techs at Technique Tuesday are busy sharing all kinds of different techniques with you during the month of September (and into October!).  I am excited to share a project with you today!

The technique that I am doing is using the Technique Tuesday Watercolor Crayons on your embossing folder.

Step 1:  Color on the inside front of your embossing folder:

Step 2:  Spray with water:

After spraying, your folder with be pretty wet!

Step 3:  Run cardstock through your Big Shot, Cuttlebug, etc and allow paper to dry thoroughly:

Technique Tuesday Stamp Party!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Technique Tuesday Stamp Party!

What a great way to start a Monday morning!!  The Stamping Techs each dug into our stashes of Technique Tuesday stamps and grabbed the newest Technique Tuesday stamp set we own. For today’s hop, we are using those stamps.

Technique Tuesday offers a whole bunch of clear stamps. All of TT’s stamps are high-quality photopolymer. You can check them out by going to the TT Web site.

My card:
I used the set Dream Big for both the sentiment and the houndstooth pattern on the bottom.

I made the background by coloring diagonally with the watercolor crayons from Technique Tuesday.  Then I took a damp sponge to soften and blend the colors.  The houndstooth was then stamped on the bottom.  I like how the colors show through with the black houndstooth pattern.

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s blog hop!
