May Greenhouse Society

Hello! I'm a little late...  but here is my first project using Technique Tuesday's May Greenhouse Society set!  Check out the Technique Tuesday Blog for all the details, and see other great projects from the rest of our team.  

My card:

So, I finally tried the "Chalk Board" technique!  How fun!

Heat embossed the image in white, on black cardstock.

Then white ink was sponged on.  Frame was cut with

nesties, then sponged with brown ink.

April Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome!!  I am so happy to be a guest designer this month for Studio AE by Technique Tuesday!  You should have came here from Ali Edwards Blog (OMGosh, can you believe that Ali is linking to MY blog!! haha!!)

The April Studio AE Set:  Favorite Circles:

And here is my card:

I've always loved designing with balloons...  so I decided to be creative and use the circle shape to make a balloon!  I cut off the pointy part of the arrow to make the tie on the balloon.  (It's hard to see because the baker's twine is tied around it.)  I stamped a smiley face from SMILE BIG on the star, just because it made me happy!

My card base is 5 1/2 x 3.  The balloon is "floating" a bit off the top of the card, allowing it to fit in an envelope for a 3x6 card.

 A very simple Thank You card here.  Just heat embossed the image in white.  

I also heat embossed the image on this one, but used black.  Then colored the

flowers with a white colored pencil.

My card is 3"x6".  I love making these long skinny cards!

I paper pieced the flower image, inking the edges for definition.

The banner is from the Seal Companion Star set.

(I lengthened the banner by stamping the edge on a post-it note).

Celebrate!

My Son Made a Card!!

Hello!  I have a special card to share today!  My son Jeff (24) made a Valentine Card for his girlfriend Stephanie!!  I layed out a bunch of my new Technique Tuesday stamps, and he chose Kapow.  He loves fireworks, so I kinda expected that!

He did all the stamping himself!  He picked out all the colors, and designed the card himself.  I helped him with the card base, and guided him through the rest.  But really, he did it all!  (His GF is a card maker, and loved it, of course!)

So...  here is the card!

Isn't it great?!! 

(I think he even had fun, but probably wouldn't admit it!)

And here he is hard at work!!

My first card:

I used a Technique Tile from Technique Tuesday to make the little vase.  

I just adhered patterned paper to the square, and inked the edges a bit.

And another:

I used a Story Card from Technique Tuesday to make a vase. 

I just flipped the card on it's side, cut a little slit on top,

and slipped the stem inside.

I accented the lamps with Stickles, and also used some pearl paint on the light bulb.

November Greenhouse Society

Here is my card:

I stamped the image using green ink on the pine needles, and brown ink on the pinecones.  I colored/shaded the image with chalks.  Liquid Applique and glitter were used on the pinecone, then heated with the heatgun.

Here is my card:

I stamped the image on a piece of acetate using brown Stazon ink.  I then made a frame and attached it to the acetate, and popped up the frame on my card.  Different colored Stickles were used to accent the image.

Candy Corn Inspiration

Hello!  The Technique Tuesday Stamping Techs were given this photo to use as inspiration:

Isn't it such a cool photo??  I loved the woodgrain background, and had the PERFECT paper to use.

Here is my card:

I used the super fun new set called EEK from Technique Tuesday.  I hand cut the candy corns, and colored them with Technique Tuesday Watercolor Crayons.  I cut a circle shape from one of Technique Tuesday's Story Cards.
