Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I made for the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge.

This was our inspiration photo:

Isn't it just the cutest??  I didn't have time to do the challenge before Christmas, so I chose not to do a Christmas theme on my card.   Here is my card:

I was inspired by:
  • The colors red, kraft, cream, with just a touch of green  (LOVE these colors!!!)
  • The polka dot ribbon
  • Used diagonal stripes for the gopher's body
  • Big red nose like the reindeer's noses
  • Used a pom pom on the party hat
  • The kraft background similar to the walls in the photo
  • The partial circle shape similar to root beer packaging design
I wanted to use a red pipe cleaner, but all I had was white.  So I used my ink pad to color it red, but the ink would not dry.  And the heat gun does not work to set the ink.  So no pipe cleaner.

Thanks for looking!!

The All Things Love Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello!
Welcome to the All Things Love Technique Tuesday blog hop.
Technique Tuesday’s Stamping Techs are blog hopping again, and we are sharing love-themed projects this month.

I used Technique Tuesday's Monsters Ink set and the Smooch by Ali Edwards set.

Close ups:

How can you not love this happy guy???  I colored him with Copics, cut him out, and popped him up on the card.  The border was made with two punched zig zag chains, I lined up the points (instead of chevron style), and added tiny puched heart accents.

I made the heart balloons by punching hearts, and then adding the bottom tie portion of punched balloons.  Then I tied the thread to the balloon, and you can't even tell that the bottom part was added later.

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s blog hop!

Paper Smooches Guest DT Search

Hello!  I am sharing a couple cards that I made using the Paper Smooches Shaped Card Templates.  These two cards were part of my entry for the recent Paper Smooches DT call.  Since I was not chosen, I'm throwing these ones back in the hat for the January Guest Designer Search.  I had alot of fun making these cards!

Car Card:

This card uses the Car Card Template. I faced the car the opposite way, to allow for the dog to be the driver. Dog and sentiment are from Birthday Buddies set. The star on door is from My Guy. Rectangle box for antenna flag is from Hang Ups. The stack of gifts was paper pieced using the free digi image. I tied the whole stack of gifts to the roof using the twine from the packaging around the PS stamps.

Snowman Card:

This card was made using the Snowman card template.  The arms, light bulbs, mistletoe, and sentiment are all from the Hang Ups set.

Using Technique Tiles

Hello!  This is a post that I did for the Technique Tuesday Blog that ran last week.  I just thought I'd share it here too!

I have a technique to share using the Technique Tiles from Technique Tuesday!

I went back to basics, and did some simple stamping of a line image stamp, then coloring it with Technique Tuesday's Watercolor Crayons.  I used the fun Monsters Ink set from Technique Tuesday.

Stamp image on tile using StazOn ink:

Blend crayon with paintbrush and water:

I applied dimension glaze to the monster image to really make it stand out:

Added a few smaller tiles to finish off the card:

The Technique Tiles are so fun and versatile!   Give them a try!
