Hambo Happy Birthday

Hello!  Just sharing a quick card I made for today's Free For All Challenge on SCS.  We are combining a resource with another challenge this week.

I chose "Watercoloring with Watercolor Crayons" combined with the great sketch for CAS183 this week.  What a fun one!

Here is my card:

I used the adorable ELEPHANT rubber stamp from Hambo Stamps.  Love him.   He was colored with Watercolor Crayons from Technique Tuesday.  Designer paper is Shine On from Basic Grey.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I used WISHES from Technique Tuesday.  I love that set!!  The background was make with watercolor crayons (from Technique Tuesday).  I colored the "rectangle" shaped background, then blended the colors with water and a sponge.  Easy!!

Sassy Cat

One more...  I made this earlier this week, but never uploaded it.

This one uses the set Sassy Cat from Technique Tuesday.

I used the Wrinkle Free Distress technique that was the TCL364 Challenge on Splitcoast.  Also used the sketch from CAS157.

Thanks for visiting today!

Dreamy Daisy

Hello!

I combined THREE challenges from Splitcoast today!  The sketch, color, and technique challenge worked great for this new release set from Technique Tuesday called Dreamy Daisy.

I used the wrinkle free distress technique for the daisy part of this card. I had so much doing that technique earlier this week, that I just had to play around more with it. I used the ink colors Bashful Blue and Night of Navy (SU). The bashful blue was very light after misting with water... and the navy took more of a purply shade. But I went with it anyway...

CAS154 Hello

It has been awhile since I've posted!!  The past couple weeks I've been busy making posters for the graduating seniors from my son's hockey team...  There were 7 total that I had to make.  I just finished last night, and was anxious to get my craft room back in stamping mode!!

So I played along with the CAS Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers today.  It is a color challenge:  Pink, Celery, and White.

Here is my card:

I had a hard time photographing this one...  and ended up not adjusting it at all, because the color was sooo off when I did.

Supplies:  Hero Arts/Sizzix stamps/die, Quickutz Special Delivery set (card shape and letters), SU dsp, PTI White, PTI Spring Leaf, Bakers Twine, Rose Red SU ink, Spring Leaf PTI ink, Stardust stickles, Liquid Pearls, button

CAS-ual Fridays

Hello!

I am back with another card for the CAS-ual Fridays CFC33 Challenge.  This time I am using the free digi stamp offered by Market Street Stamps.

The CAS-ual Fridays Challenge is to use kraft and twine.  Two of my favorites!!

My card:
What a sweet little coffee cup image this is!!  I colored the image with copic markers, then cut it out and popped it up on the card.  The little dots were part of the image, but I had cut them off of the cup image...  so I pierced the original to trace it onto my card base, then used a fine point marker to make the dots.

Sentiment is from a Fiskars set called Latte Love.  I will use this card for a Valentine for my husband.  I like that it is not the typical Valentine colors, especially the black heart.  haha

Thanks for stopping in today!!

CAS151 Congrats

Hello!  Sharing a card today that I made for today's Clean and Simple Challenge on Splitcoast.  This is one of my favorite challenges!

Kept it very CAS with this one...  And had to go kinda with a New Year's theme, even though this could be used for any kind of Congrats.

All the stamps I used are from Technique Tuesday:
Vino (Wine glasses)
Good Cheer (swirly border)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I took some time for myself today, and made a couple cards for the CAS-ual Fridays CFC33 Challenge.
I needed a couple Thank You cards for Christmas gifts we received.  Yes, I have a ton of Thank You cards in my stash...  but I wanted a winter theme...  and it was more fun making new ones!

The CAS-ual Fridays Challenge is to use kraft and twine.  Two of my favorites!!

I made two similar cards.  I am constantly saving cool packaging things...  and these coffee sleeves from Panera have been on my desk for months.  I like that they have a polka dot pattern instead of the common corrugated ones.

First card:
I used a Christmas Tree die from QuicKutz to cut the tree from the coffee sleeve.  I had originally intended on using the back side, without the Panera logo.  But when I cut it, I thought that it added a cool design element and looked kinda artsy.  I did not use the star that was on the die...  I liked the recycling emblem, and added that to the top to make a "star".  I curled the twine around a paint brush, then damped slightly with stamp cleaner (besides coffee, it was the only liquid within reach! haha).  Card is 3 x 6.

Close Up:

And another version:
On this card, I used a "snow pen" around the edges of the tree.  Then heat embossed it to puff it up.  Added cute little twine bows to finish it off.

What?  No stamping on either of these cards...  and did not even use any ink at all!  How do you make a card without stamps or ink??  Haha...   Better get back to my craft room and get my inky fix!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Silent Night

Hello!

I made this card for the CAS143 Challenge on SCS.  It is based off a sketch.

I picked up the new holiday color Tim Holtz Distress Inks the other day.  This is my first time using them.  Just a super quick card.  It is a fun sketch!  Sentiment and snowflakes are from the Good Cheer by Ali Edwards set from Technique Tuesday.  The tree is from Patterned Pines by Stampin' Up.

I had a hard time getting a decent pic...  really not happy with this one either, but it is what it is...

Thanks for stopping by!!

CAS-ual Fridays Redo

Back again...  I just had to redo my card for the CAS-ual Fridays "Over The Edge" Challenge!  My original card HERE just seemed TOO BUSY to be CAS, and the monkey got lost in the background paper.

Ahhhh, so much better!!

The orange twine is a RAK from my friend Char, and the cloud paper and polka dot paper are both from my friend Lisa.  Thank you, girlies!!  :)

Side by side:

Check out the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge here:

I feel much better now.  :)  Thanks for visiting today!

CAS-ual Fridays

Hello!  I have a card to share that I made for the CAS-ual Fridays "Over The Edge" Challenge.

I chose a big balloon as my element to go "over the edge".  The balloon is from the George Cricut cartridge.   I thought the background paper from October Afternoon's Campfire line was just perfect for this card.  I wanted it to look like the monkey was being carried away by the balloon!

The monkey is from the fun Changito Birthday set by Stampendous.

Clouds were made using cloud die from Papertrey Ink.  Sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

CAS-ual Fridays

Hello!  I am playing along for MY FIRST TIME in the CAS-ual Fridays clean and simple challenge!!  The challenge is to add COLOR to our stamped image.

Here is my card:

I used Paper Smooches Halloweenies stamp set.  Such fun images...  I just LOOOVE this monster!!  I stamped him on watercolor cardstock with Stazon Ink.  I used ink from my inkpads with a blender pen to color him.  I embossed the yellow background with an embossing folder from Sizzix, then inked the raised image with craft white ink from SU.  Patterned paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle.  It is a leftover scrap I had from a layout I did last year.  Yay, I'm glad I saved it!  :)  I cut the scallop border with a QuicKuts die.

Thanks for stopping in today!!

IC307 Thinking of You

Hello!  I am sharing a card that I made for today's Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.

My inspiration was THIS PLATE from Liberty.  I made a stencil from one of my nestie dies, then sponged the ink on the center of my white cardstock.  I used the stamp sets Growing Wild and Dream Big from Technique Tuesday.  I bent the flower stems on my acrylic block, because I wanted the flowers flowing toward the right.
