April Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome!!  I am so happy to be a guest designer this month for Studio AE by Technique Tuesday!  You should have came here from Ali Edwards Blog (OMGosh, can you believe that Ali is linking to MY blog!! haha!!)

The April Studio AE Set:  Favorite Circles:

And here is my card:

I've always loved designing with balloons...  so I decided to be creative and use the circle shape to make a balloon!  I cut off the pointy part of the arrow to make the tie on the balloon.  (It's hard to see because the baker's twine is tied around it.)  I stamped a smiley face from SMILE BIG on the star, just because it made me happy!

My card base is 5 1/2 x 3.  The balloon is "floating" a bit off the top of the card, allowing it to fit in an envelope for a 3x6 card.

March Greenhouse Society

Hello!  The March Greenhouse Society set from Technique Tuesday is shipping today!  You can find all the info you need about this monthly club here:  Greenhouse Society

And here are a couple projects using the March set:

 A very simple Thank You card here.  Just heat embossed the image in white.  

I also heat embossed the image on this one, but used black.  Then colored the

flowers with a white colored pencil.

February Greenhouse Society- Round 2

Hello! My card:

My card is 3"x6".  I love making these long skinny cards!

I paper pieced the flower image, inking the edges for definition.

The banner is from the Seal Companion Star set.

(I lengthened the banner by stamping the edge on a post-it note).

Celebrate!

Hello friends!  Today we are celebrating at Technique Tuesday and featuring projects from our new designer Lori Vliegen!!  I just love her whimsical style!  Head on over to the TT Blog for LOTS more inspiration!!

Here is my card:

I used the stamp set Spread the Light by Lori Vliegen.

The candles were colored with Copic markers, and Stickle accents

were added to the flame.

My Son Made a Card!!

Hello!  I have a special card to share today!  My son Jeff (24) made a Valentine Card for his girlfriend Stephanie!!  I layed out a bunch of my new Technique Tuesday stamps, and he chose Kapow.  He loves fireworks, so I kinda expected that!

He did all the stamping himself!  He picked out all the colors, and designed the card himself.  I helped him with the card base, and guided him through the rest.  But really, he did it all!  (His GF is a card maker, and loved it, of course!)

So...  here is the card!

Isn't it great?!! 

(I think he even had fun, but probably wouldn't admit it!)

And here he is hard at work!!

February Greenhouse Society

My card:

I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper, and colored them using Watercolor Crayons from Technique Tuesday.  I also used the In Stitches set around the edges of my card base.
