Hey Cute Ghoul

Hi There!

I combined the CC344 Color Challenge and the SC344 Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers to make this card:

I won this adorable stamp set Halloweenies from Paper Smooches during their blog hop last month!  So exciting!  The fence was punched with the Modern Label punch from SU.  The house was made using the Cricut Hoot and Holler cartridge and the door was a tag punch.

The technique that I am doing is using the Technique Tuesday Watercolor Crayons on your embossing folder.

Step 1:  Color on the inside front of your embossing folder:

Step 2:  Spray with water:

After spraying, your folder with be pretty wet!

Step 3:  Run cardstock through your Big Shot, Cuttlebug, etc and allow paper to dry thoroughly:

SC353 Sketch Challenge

Hello!  Wow, two challenges two days in a row!  Go me!  :)

I made this card for the SC353 Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.

I heat embossed 4 layers of gold embossing powder on a square Technique Tile from Technique Tuesday.  While the embossing was still hot, I stamped the car image using black StazOn ink, making sure to press hard into the heated embossing powder.  I did the same for the measurement border along the bottom of the tile.  Technique Tuesday stamp sets used:  All Aboard, Measure Up, and Vino.

CC343 Color Challenge

Hello!  I decided to make a quick card for today's CC343 Color Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.

Colors:
Tangerine Tango, More Mustard, and Soft Suede

I stamped and heat embossed the image from Technique Tuesday's I Pick You set onto one of Technique Tuesday's Technique Tiles.  (kinda like chipboard...  but better!)  Then I did the emboss resist technique, by sponging the colors around the image.  Added patterned paper with sentiment on bottom of tile, and finished it off with a simple ribbon.  Quick!!

TFL!!

Card Sets

I made several card box sets last weekend while I was away at a retreat.  I make these often...  they make great gifts!  I keep these cards VERY simple and flat so that 8 cards/envelopes fit in a box.  All sets are made with stamps from Technique Tuesday.

First Set using Happy Birthday, Monsters Ink, and Chit Chat:

Second Set using Growing Wild , Verbose, and Swanky Sentiments

Third Set using A Million and One by Ali Edwards:

These sets are on their way to my MIL who's celebrating her birthday today!  Hope she likes them!

Technique Tuesday Stamp Party!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Technique Tuesday Stamp Party!

What a great way to start a Monday morning!!  The Stamping Techs each dug into our stashes of Technique Tuesday stamps and grabbed the newest Technique Tuesday stamp set we own. For today’s hop, we are using those stamps.

Technique Tuesday offers a whole bunch of clear stamps. All of TT’s stamps are high-quality photopolymer. You can check them out by going to the TT Web site.

My card:
I used the set Dream Big for both the sentiment and the houndstooth pattern on the bottom.

I made the background by coloring diagonally with the watercolor crayons from Technique Tuesday.  Then I took a damp sponge to soften and blend the colors.  The houndstooth was then stamped on the bottom.  I like how the colors show through with the black houndstooth pattern.

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s blog hop!

Technique Tuesday Printables Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

I’m a Stamping Tech for Technique Tuesday, and I’m excited to be taking part a blog hop today with my fellow stamping pals!

Today, all of us are playing with the new Printables Technique Tuesday recently debuted at the scrapbook conventions they go to. These three printed sheets (Candy Cane Wishes, Harvest Time and Hocus Pocus) consist of designs you can cut up and use to decorate cards, scrapbook pages and other fun paper crafted projects. They will be available through TechniqueTuesday.com soon.

I chose to make a set of cards using Harvest Time:
I used punches to cut the circle images from the sheet, and then matted them on a larger circle, then again on the scallop circle.  It's hard to see, but the scallop circles and scallop borders are also corrugated.  The little border image piece is a bit smaller than 4 1/4", so I cut it behind the scallop circle and extended it.  Make sense??  :)  The text on the bottom is stamped with Technique Tuesday's Verbose set, which also happens to be the blog hop prize!

Here are individual pictures of each card, and also a pic of the different printables available:
