New Socks!!

I thought I would share a couple pictures of my recent knitting projects.  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous the past few weeks, and I've spent a lot of time knitting outside on the deck.  Knitted socks feel like a dream on your feet!!  Sooooo comfy!!

These first ones are called Herringbone Rib Socks.  I LOOOVE how this pattern turned out and will definately use it again.

This second pair is a pattern called Monkey Socks.  It is one of the most popular socks patterns in the knitting community, and I FINALLY got around to trying it.  Also, it is my first time using Koigu sock yarn.  Super fun, quick pattern, and the yarn is so nice!!  Next time using this pattern, I will definately do the no-purl version for a more smooth sock.

Both pairs are for ME!!  :)

I will be finishing up another pair of socks in the next few days, along with a new hat for my son's birthday next week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dream Big

Dream Big is a great stamp set from Technique Tuesday!  I have two cards using that set to share with you today.

For my first card, I used the brocade image and the houndstooth image to make the two different backgrounds.  No patterned paper used...  just stamps and cardstock!  The seam binding is also something Technique Tuesday was selling in their booths at the conventions.  I pulled a thread from the center to gather the seam binding, then attached it with a strip of sticky tape.

For my second card, I used Dream Big for the brocade background, and also for the small text background.  The "Thank You" sentiment is from Dream Big, and the fancy frame is stamped using Swanky Sentiments.  I used Long Stemmed Sentiments for the flowers.  (one of my "go to" sets from Technique Tuesday!).

I also made a super quick gift bag using both Dream Big and Swanky Sentiments.  Fast and Easy!

Here is the Dream Big set!

Thanks for taking a look today!!  :)

July All Stamping Tech Challenge

I made this card for July's All Stamping Tech challenge with Technique Tuesday. Our challenge was to make a birthday-themed project, which worked perfect for me because my oldest son's birthday is tomorrow!

I used Technique Tuesday sets Out of this World and The Weather Report (stars).  The fun images were sent to me by Teri Anderson.  I had fun practicing coloring with copics!  Thanks, Teri!

F4A74 FS232 YIPPEE!! for Teri

I was so excited to see that Teri Anderson was the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast this week!!  Loooooove Teri and am a big fan of her work!!  I cased this card of Teri's, and in true "Teri fashion", I added the googlie eyes.  Fun!  :)

I used Technique Tuesday's Monsters Ink and Chit Chat stamp sets. The felt is also from Technique Tuesday... they are selling it in their booth at conventions. The patterned paper is Technique Tuesday's Perspectives line.

I also combined the F4A74 Two by Two challenge. I used two flowers. The stems are an exclamation point from the Monsters Ink set.

Thanks for visiting!

SC342 Sketch Challenge

I am trying to get back into making cards after a seriously long break...    Been dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis, and trying get my hands and whole body better.

Anyway...  this was a fun sketch!  The Splitcoast sketch challenge can be found here:  SC342.  I used all stamps from Technique Tuesday.  I used Long Stemmed Sentiments, Talking In Circles, and Verbose.  The patterned paper is also from Technique Tuesday's Perspective line.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope to be updating more often!!
